Muncie-Richard E. Beaty Jr., 47, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 1, 2012, at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born on July 15, 1965, in Jamestown, Tennessee, the son of Richard E. and Wanda (Lackey) Beaty Sr.
Mr. Beaty had attended Jamestown city schools. He worked as a contruction laborer with the Laborers and Hod Carriers Union Local 112 for 10 years prior to his disability in 2001. Richard really enjoyed being “Grandpa” to his four year old granddaughter, Alexia Richelle Dobbs.
Survivors include two daughters, Brittany Beaty (fiancé-Joshua) and Tiffany Beaty both of Muncie; granddaughter Alexia Richelle Dobbs, Muncie; companion, Lisa Beaty, Muncie; mother, Wanda Beaty, Jamestown, Tennessee; two sisters, Jo Gilkerson and Debbie Barnett (husband-David), both of Jamestown, Tennessee; four brothers, Ricky Beaty, Crossville, Tennessee, Gary , Tracy and Fred Beaty(wife-Sonya), all of Jamestown, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Beaty Sr. in 1991 and one sister-in-law, Melissa Evans in 2012.
