Richard “Rich” Duran was born Feb. 3,1972 to Richard Duran and Dee Hermosillo and finished his race Feb 28, 2021….
Richard married Tamara “Tammy” Duran (Linda is what he affectionately called her) on March 4,1997 and went on to have 5 children together with 3 previous children…. Aaron Duran, Christian Duran, Richard Duran, Julian Duran, Isaac Duran, Shantel Rodriguez, Vincent Baca, and Precious DeHerrera . Richard and Tammy have 9 grandchildren Paighton, Nehemiah, Zuriah, Jedidiah, Messiah, Rogelio, Cataleya, Joseph, and Anthony. Richard also has; 2 brothers, Gabe and Dominic Duran and his cousin Donovan he considered his brother….
Rich’s passion in life was God first then his family. It was his life purpose to make sure we as his family were always taken care of. He started his first business as a mortgage broker then went on to start his own Roofing company. He added a few more businesses like a Christmas light install company called, “Let Your Lights Shine” and a power washing company called “Colorado Power Washing”. Rich was never scared of anything. If someone told him he couldn’t do something, he would show them he could. He was a determined and goal driven hardworking.
Rich loved to help people. He was a man who had a big heart. For Halloween we would go pick hundreds of pumpkins and deliver them to the kids. For Thanksgiving and Christmas he and Tammy would give out 200 turkeys to families in need. If anyone was down and out he would always lend a helping hand and give them the best.
Rich was not your average man. He always had to be extravagant… cooking pigs, going on crazy camping trips, fishing and he always invited everyone to go. He made sure we always had fun and always had the best of everything.
Rich’s favorite things to do were: go fishing, recruit people to work for him, and eat with his family. He loved taking the grandkids fishing trips. He always finished his trips up north by stopping to get Chubbys; ordering a mexican hamburger, smothered fries, a special, and a gallon of he would stop at Lechugas to get 2 dozen lil devils and 3 quarts of take back to Pueblo.
Richards passion was to serve God with his whole prayed daily all day…worshipped constantly ……
Richard was loved by many and will greatly missed….
