Richard ‘Dick’ Wayne Wykoff went to be with our Lord on July 7,2015.
Richard was born August 8, 1936 in Bloomington IN to Nita Brown and Richard Wykoff.
He came from a large family of 12 children. He had 8 sisters, Cindy Witt, Loretta Hansford, Jackie Hansford, Jeanette Payne, Martina Hall, and was predeceased by sisters Carolyn and Rodeena Hall and Edith Wykoff.Richard had 3 brothers, Herbert And Larry Hall and was predeceased by Harry Hall.
He served 4 years in the Air Force from 1952 -1956 and was stationed in Alaska during his enlistment. Richard moved to Florida and married his wife Gail in 1967. He is survived by his children, Eric, Lisa, and Amy Wykoff of Melbourne, Gary Wykoff of New Smyrna Beach and grandson Cody Tyler Wykoff of Melbourne.
He spent his working life as a mechanic and was owner-operator of Dick’s Auto Repair in Melbourne. After his retirement, he spent his time with family and friends and his beloved cats. He kept active by continuing working on cars and was a member of the Central Florida Corvair Club. Richard was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He had a big smile and even bigger heart.
During his 78 years he touched many lives with his kindness and generosity. He leaves behind family and friends who will miss him dearly, but know they will see him again one day.
