Richard “Dick” Wallace Craig, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018. He was born to the late Oral Stanford Craig and Rita Inman on January 7, 1938 in Bedford, Indiana.
Dick was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the American Legion post 0252 and Community Church of Greenwood. Dick was a very patriotic person. He loved watching movies that were about the military and history. Dick loved watching the Indianapolis Colts, the Pacers, and IU sports. Dick was known in Johnson County for refereeing basketball games. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dick had a hat for every occasion.
Dick is survived by his wife, Delora Craig of Indianapolis; his six children, Cynthia (Kylen) Forbey, Christopher (Melissa) Craig, Donene (Tim) Negri, Brian (Aimee) Craig, Catherine Grover, and Darron (Shelley) Woodward; a sister, Twila Long; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his best friend Buddy who is his loyal sidekick, his dog.
