Richard “Dick” Rizzo, 86, of Cocoa, FL (formerly of Freeport, N.Y.) passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Orlando, FL. He was born November 19, 1929 to John and Anna (Busch) Rizzo in Brooklyn, N.Y. on January 28, 1951 he married his sweetheart, Arlene Grosser of Freeport, NY. Richard served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was stationed at Guard Island, Alaska from 1947- 1950. Richard retired from the GAF Corporation in New York after 29 years. Richard and Arlene moved to Cocoa, FL in 1997 where he worked for McRoberts Maritime Security in Port Canaveral, FL. Richard was a loving, Husband, Father, Grand Father, Great Grand Father and Brother.
Survivors include his wife Arlene; his children Diane and William Roth (pre deceased) and partner Robert Cassidy Satellite Beach, FL, Richard A. and Deborah Rizzo (Lindroth) of Merrick, NY, Jody and Fred Lopez of Orlando, FL, Laura and Thomas Lindner of Orlando, FL; 7 grandchildren, Samantha Eason (Lopez), Jessica Gardner (Roth), Mathew Roth, Courtney Lopez, Paige Rizzo, Derrick Rizzo and Adam Lindner; 3 great grandchildren, Brooklyn Eason, London Eason and William Gardner. 1 brother Robert Rizzo and wife Julie.
