Richard "Dick" Enochson

Dick was born to Henry and Alma Enochson on June 9, 1935 in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High School in June 1953. He attended the College of Great Falls for about a year and then went to Havre, employed by Goggans and Pennie (electrical contractors) in business operations. He then enlisted in the Air Force and served from 1956 – 1960 as a personnel specialist, primarily in Germany. Upon an Honorable Discharge from the military, Dick continued his education at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he graduated with a B.S. in business education in 1965. He then went on to obtain an M.S. in 1971 from the University of Montana in Missoula.

His career was in teaching at CMR High School for 32 years. Throughout the years he taught typing, computers, business law, accounting, etc. He participated in the activities of the school as department chair, wrestling team sponsor, DECCA, etc. He retired in June of 1997.

Dick planted numerous tomatoes which he nurtured and then shared with family, friends and the Rescue Mission. He also raised and shared the very best rhubarbs in all of Great Falls.

Survivors include a brother, Hank (Mary Jane) Enochson of Great Falls; sisters, Lois (Dick) Grolbert of Portland OR and Dorothy (Bruce) Sigvardt of Salt Lake City UT; and sister-in-law, Carol Enochson of Vancouver WA; as well as eleven nieces and nephews.

Those who have preceded him in death include his parents; brother, Ken Enochson; and nephew, David Enochson.
