Richard “Dick” Pollack, 92, of Metamora, IL passed away at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Snyder Village in Metamora after a brief illness.

He was born on April 4, 1930, in Newark, NJ, to Roy and Loretta (Taken) Pollack and was raised in Chicago, IL.

Richard went to Lakeview High School in Chicago where he met his future wife. He married Betty Hamilton on May 6, 1950 at St.

Surviving are his wife, Betty of Metamora; their children, Jennifer (Bob) Lipper, Judy Pollack, Richard (Darlene) Pollack, Michael (Debra Lehmann) Pollack, and Jonathan (Gina) Pollack; eight grandchildren, Bobby, Sarah, Marc, Melanie, Greg, Jerry, Richie, and Veronica; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Vivian) Pollack; and a great number of nieces, nephews, and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Jane, brother Dave Pollack, sister Judy Pollack Newman, half-brother John Pollack, and half-sister Betty.

Richard lived with his family of five children in Oak Park, IL, Westchester, IL, and Palisades Park (Covert, near South Haven), MI. The cottage in Palisades was a heavenly place for 34 summers.

Dick will be remembered for his amazingly positive attitude, his energy, and the love he had for his family.
