Richard Devlin, 62, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Passavant Area Hospital.
He was born January 8, 1955, in Jacksonville, the son of Thomas Bertrand and Margaret F. Darush Devlin. He married Marjorie Ann Flynn on Dec. 4, 1974, in Jacksonville, and she preceded him in death on August 2, 1995.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Kathy Stone of Jacksonville; a daughter, Amy Clayton (companion Lon Weaver) of Jacksonville; two sons, Alan (Eva) Devlin and Brian Devlin (companion Nikki Hankins) all of Jacksonville; two granddaughters, Serendity Devlin and Chelsea Devlin; and one sister, Sally “Sara” (Charles) Murphy of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; one brother, Anthony C. “Tony” Devlin; and one sister, Cecelia Jean Devlin.
Mr. Devlin was a 1974 graduate of Routt Catholic High School. He worked for the State of Illinois for many years. He enjoyed racing stock cars and was a NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed woodworking and watching “M.A.S.H.”
