Richard Dean Everding, 90, of Peru, formerly of Princeton, passed away Monday morning, February 25, 2019 at Manor Court, Peru.
Mr. Everding was born January 8, 1929 in Buffalo Center, IA to Henry and Faye (Oftedahl) Everding. He married Shirley J. Price on August 6, 1955 at Faith Presbyterian Church in Chicago. Mr. Everding was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He attended high school in Delhi, IA and was a graduate of Industrial Engineering College in Chicago.
He also attended Elgin Community College, Aurora University and Illinois Tech. He loved the outdoors, farming and building. He worked as an environmental engineer manager for LCN Closers in Princeton for over 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two sons, Richard A. (Sharon) Everding of Peru and Robert A. (Peggy) Everding of Yukon, OK; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rod (Jane) Ellickson of Burnsville, MN and Robert Walbran and his wife of Minnesota and one sister-in-law, Mavis Walbran of Marshall, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; his foster parents, James and Frances Shover; his sister, Ruth Everding and one brother, Gerald Ellickson.
