Richard Darrell Plum
Richard Darrell Plum, 79, of Tunnelton passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at home with family by his side.
He was born April 13, 1936, in Preston County, a son the late Ray A. (Snowball) and Goldie Shannon Plum.
Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a coal miner at Consol for 38 years and loved the outdoors that included camping, fishing, hunting, working on the farm, story telling, playing cards and old country music especially when it involved time at the cabin with family musicians..
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen C. Murphy Plum; three sons, Roger Plum and companion, Tammy, David Plum and wife, Danita and Darrell Plum and wife, Donna all of Tunnelton; two daughters, Carolyn Layton and husband, Fred of Kingwood and Connie DeBerry and husband, Tim of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Edward Plum of Salida, CO and Charles Plum of Tunnelton; three sisters, Rose McGinnis, Agnes (Bunnie) Davy, both of McCoole, MD and Elisie (Peep) Wiles of Kingwood; twenty two grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, six nieces, five nephews and a sister in-law, Doris Thorn.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Plum.
