Richard D. Nagel, 65, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley. Mr. Nagel was born on January 19, 1954, in Waukegan to Richard and Nancy (Vickers) Nagel.
He was a graduate of Northern Illinois University and was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity where he served as an officer. Mr. Nagel was a member of the Peru Rescue Station. He was an avid dart player, participating in numerous dart leagues. He was a fan of all sports, especially the Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks. He also enjoyed fishing, especially fishing trips with family and friends.
Survivors include his sister, Kim (Scott) Fisher of Wayne, and his niece and nephews, Ian, Jackie, Alex, and Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents.
