Richard D. “Denny” Soltez, 64, of Emlenton, died on Friday, April 3, 2009 at the Butler VA Medical Center following an illness.

Born on April 12, 1944 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Julius Soltez and Agnes Vislay Soltez.

A United States Air Force veteran, Mr. Soltez served in the Vietnam conflict.

He had been employed as an aircraft sheet metal worker.

He was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his mother of Emlenton, he is survived by three sons, David A. Soltez and his wife Maria, Jeffrey A. Soltez and his wife Keri, and Richard Kemp and his wife Cathy, all of Lehigh Acres, Florida.

Surviving are two brothers, David Soltez and his wife, Diana of Pittsburgh, Charles “Chuck” Soltez and his friend, Patty Hilliard of Emlenton.

Mr. Soltez is also survived by six grandchildren.

Surviving are two nieces and two nephews, Julie Regges and her husband William, and their daughter, Sydni, of Emlenton, Kara Soltez of Pittsburgh, David Soltez Jr. of Pittsburgh, and Jason Soltez and his wife Mandy and their children Kayle and Gavin, of North Carolina.
