Richard D. Buis, 86, of Indianapolis passed away on August 7, 2017. He was born in Greencastle, Indiana on December 31, 1930 to Vernie and Gladys Buis. On July 11, 1980 he married Ruth Leonhardt in Indianapolis. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed as a draftsman working for Endress and Hauser for 18 years, retiring in 1995. Richard was a member of the Central Indiana Austin- Healy Association.
Richard is survived by his wife Ruth Buis; daughter Laury Palmer; son Richard Buis; step-son Laurence Leonhardt; step-daughter Katherine Jackson (Philip); five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his parents.
