Richard C. “Dick” Pietrucci passed away on August 30, 2017 at home with his family by his side.

Dick was born on June 28, 1944 in Springfield, MA. He completed his education in Springfield and went on to have many jobs there. In 1967 he began a career with Sears Roebuck and Co., a career that transferred him to Newington, CT and then to Lynn, MA where he met the love of his life, Ann Marie (Kneeland). They were married on October 13, 1974 in Winthrop, MA and resided in nearby Revere, MA.

In April 1976 their daughter Danielle Marie was born and in 1978 they began construction on a new home in Arlington, MA. During construction the blizzard of 78’ wiped out all their belongings in their Revere home and forced them to relocate first to a nearby neighbor, and then to Ann’s parents for six months until their home was completed.

In 1998, Dick retired from Sears and began a career as Corporate Credit Manager at Franklin Building Supply where he stayed until his retirement in December 2012.

Dick’s lifelong passions included traveling, baseball, the New York Yankee’s and the New York Giants.

Dick valued family and was proud of his children, who both graduated from Centennial High School, and continued on to Boise State University.

Dick was also blessed with five grandsons, Jackson, Dagan, Crew, Dominik and Brody who lovingly referred to him as “Noono” and brought him much joy. He treasured every moment he had with them.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen A. Pietrucci and his father, Emilio “Mario” Pietrucci, Sr. as well as his brother, Lawrence V. Pietrucci and sister-in-law Charlotte Pietrucci. He is survived by his wife, Ann; children, Danielle (Dante) Nightshade and Christopher (Brittany) Pietrucci, and five grandsons. He is also survived by his brothers, Emilio “Mario” Pietrucci and Robert (Theresa) Pietrucci and sister-in-law Patricia Pietrucci.

The Pietrucci family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the excellent, loving care provided by Dr. Stephanie Hodson and her staff at St. Al’s Cancer Care Center, and to Harrison’s Hope for their care, comfort and support in his final days.
