Richard “Dick” Lawrence Cosby, age 73, passed away on September 7th. He was loved by his large family and will be greatly missed. Dick retired from WBRC TV after 39 years of service. He was active in the broadcasting industry and served as President of the IBEW. Dick was a graduate of Shades Valley High School and attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide). He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley Cosby, 1 son, Richard Cosby, Jr, 2 daughters, Ginger Wooten and Kay Estes, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
