Richard Bryan Foster passed away at his residence on April 4, 2016. He was a Newnan native and was born September 20, 1944, the son of the late Joseph Hudson Foster, Jr. and Jane Bolton Foster.
He graduated from Newnan High School in the class of 1962, attended West Georgia College, and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State. He worked for Southwire in Carrollton for 30 years. After retirement, he was employed at Newnan Salvage. He was a member of Newnan First United Methodist Church. Richard enjoyed the call of the wide-open spaces and was an avid motorcyclist. Many mornings he could be spotted enjoying his walks through downtown Newnan. He was a proud member of the NRA.
Richard is survived by his children, Jan Foster Powers, and her husband Dean, and Richard Bryan Foster, Jr. His grandchildren are Kelsey Veal, Jay Veal, and Trey Powers. He is also survived by his brother Joseph H. Foster III and his sister Neel Foster.
