Mr. Beatty died Friday, November 29, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Neligh.
Richard was born April 19, 1927 at home near Madison the son of George and Mabel (Graves) Beatty. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1947 to 1948 in Japan. Richard married Darlene Miller on September 20, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Foster. The couple farmed Northwest of Madison until moving to Neligh for the past couple of years.
Richard is survived by his daughter Betty and John Thiessen of Clearwater, a son Richard and Monda Beatty of Grand Island, four grandchildren, Nancy (Brandond Kloppenborg of Chambers, Jennifer Thiessen of Las Vegas, NV, Tyler Beatty and Belle Beatty of Grand Island and two great grandchildren, Harlie and Daniel Kloppenborg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Darlene (July 2013), one sister in infancy, and another sister Violet McIntosh.
