Surviving are his wife, Cathy Furney Frey; his daughter, Monica Frey, his step-daughter, Megan Gonzales, (her fiancé, and Rick’s best friend, Phil Baird); his step-son, Jared Mitchell, (wife, Heather); his twin-brother, Ed Frey, (wife, Marybeth); his sister, Jane E Barden, (husband, Scott), his mother-in-law, Pat Furney; three grandchildren, Landyn Mitchell, Jazzlyn Mitchell, and Lilly Baird; his nieces and nephews, Kristen Frey, Olivia Frey, Emma Kirkpatrick, Max Barden, Dustin Furney, (wife, Chaz), Skylar Furney and Shayna Furney; his uncle, Lyndon Eberly; and his beloved dog, Toby; and other beloved family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Marvin Furney.
Richard was a cornea organ donor.
