Richard Lynch, 70, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2022.
Richard lived most of his life in Des Moines, having graduated from Roosevelt High School. He earned his law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law and was a practicing tax attorney for most of his career.
He served his community in a variety of ways, including as president of the Des Moines Jaycees, president of the Rider Club, and Treasurer for the Des Moines Chapter of the Committee on Foreign Relations. He loved being involved in many organizations including the Des Moines Rowing Club and as a pilot with the Des Moines Flying Club.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy; his children Ryan Lynch (Amber) and Emily Rademacher (R.J.); his mother Mary Lou Lynch; his siblings Margaret White (Steve), David Lynch (Amy), and Jane Witmer (John); his grandchildren Nora and Hailey Lynch and Isla, Jack and Audrey Rademacher; and 8 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard (Dick) Lynch.
