Richard Asbury, 80, of Oak Grove, AR died Thursday November 1, 2012 at his home. He was born April 1, 1932 in Cartage, Missouri to the late Frank Asbury and Vina (Lee) Asbury. On August 24, 1954 he was united in marriage to the love of his live, Hilda (Minick) Asbury. They resided on a farm in the Oak Grove area for over 50 years. Richard worked at Tysons in Berryville for a number of years and hauled milk for Kraft Food and milk plant in Berryville and Carnation Milk Plant in Branson. His last job was taking care of cattle for Powells Farms. He took pride in all of his work and was an animal lover. Richrad enjoyed whittiling with his Oak Grove whittling buddies, especially the camaraderie shared with friends. He attended church at Elm Tree Church in Lampe, Missouri. Richard is survived by his wife, Hilda Asbury of the home, daughter, Edna Knott and fianc Dale Byers of Oak Grove, granddaughter, Brandi Knott of Oak Grove, grandson, Kolbi Knott of Canton, OK, brothers, Jimmie Asbury and wife Patricia of Cassville, MO, Ray Carey of Mt Vernon, MO, 1 sister, Delia Berry of Lampe MO, special friend and caretaker, Faith Isabel as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jimmie and Junior Asbury, 2 sisters, Della Besse and Sue Ramier, 3 infant brothers and1 infant sister.
