Falling Waters, WV – Richard Arlington “Dutch” Tedrick, 86, of 35 Hearthside Drive Falling Waters, WV died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at NMS Healthcare Hagerstown, MD.
Born, May 4, 1925 in Big Pool, Maryland to the late William Carlton and Rhoda Bell Hawbaker Tedrick.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Alkire “Ginny” Tedrick in 1997.
He was a 1943 graduate of Clear Spring High School Clear Spring, MD.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII in the South Pacific.
He was a Signalman on the Western Maryland Railroad and owner of Tedrick’s Appliance & Gas Company Williamsport, MD and Co-Founder of AC&T in Williamsport, MD and owned and operated the Old Mill in Williamsport, Maryland (Kemps Mill) and most recently 21st Century Realty Company in Florida.
He served on the Williamsport Town Council.
He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church Falling Waters, WV. He served as past Treasurer.
He was Past President and Treasurer Marlowe Ruritan Club Falling Waters, WV. He was a member of BPO #378 Elks Hagerstown, MD, Exalted Ruler of Elks in North Port, FL, Mediary Lodge #140 AF&AM Williamsport, MD, 32nd Degree Mason, and Potomac Post #202 American Legion Williamsport, MD.
He enjoyed fishing.
