Richard Earl Anderson, 59, was a native of Choctaw County and a resident of Meridian, Mississippi. He was the fourth of twelve children born to Pearlie and the late Willie J. Anderson. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers (Walter and Lester), and one sister (Sylvia).
Richard was a 1974 graduate of Choctaw County High School, Butler, AL. He worked for Atlas Roofing Company in Meridian, MS for numerous years. He served his country in the Mississippi Air National Guard, worked for the Mississippi Department of Public Health, Meridian, MS and an Entrepreneur of REA Construction.
He completed his earthly journey and entered eternal rest on August 25, 2015 at his residence.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving mother, Pearlie Mae Anderson, Lisman, AL; one sister, Pearlie M. Jemison, Pearl, MS; seven brothers, Willie, Sacramento, CA; Alvin, Stanley, NC; Joseph (Theresa), Lisman, AL; Timothy, Warner Robins, GA; Cedric (Sharon), Lisman, AL; Michael, Panama City, FL; Darrell (Jennifer), Charlotte, NC; eight nieces, five nephews, four aunts, three uncles, a host of cousins, friends and a vast of extended family.
Richard will be remembered for his handy carpentry skills and gifted basketball abilities.
