Richard Allen Spry, 57, of Lumberport passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 under the care of Amedysis Hospice at Pierpont Nursing Home in Fairmont.
He was born May 6, 1959 in Clarksburg, WV; son of the late Fletcher and Goldie Ramey Spry.
Richard was extremely loving and proud of his three daughters, Bobbi Moore Elder and husband Troy of Lumberport, Heather Spry and her fiancé, Jeremy Lowther of Shinnston, Jamie Spry and fiancé, Zach Rogers of Mt. Clare. He was also very proud of his grandchildren, Hunter, Levi, and Brycen Moore. He is also survived by five sisters, Ina Watts and husband Otis of Lumberport, Nancy Moon and husband Roy of Fort Gay, Clista Radcliff and husband Jim, Mary Wright and husband Joe all of Clarksburg, Yvonne McQuaid and husband Doug of Lumberport and one sister-in-law, Glenda Spry of Lumberport. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angel Bennett; three brothers, Arlie, Bill and Cleve; one sister, Cynthia Blankenship.
Richard was an avid hunter. He enjoyed spending his time playing basketball and shooting his bow. He was a caring and gentle man who loved helping others wanting nothing in return.
