Richard Allen “Rich” DeKock, age 64, of Fair Oaks, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.
Rich was born on November 4, 1956 in Rensselaer Indiana the son of Ralph Allen and Violet (DeYoung) DeKock. Rich was a graduate of the Kankakee Valley High School class of 1974. Rich married the love of his life Julie Butler on November 21, 1980. Rich was a member of the American Reformed Church where he had served as a deacon. Rich was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed farming and working with his cows. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Rich is survived by his loving wife, Julie; children, Eric (Lauren) DeKock and Brian DeKock; grandchildren, Addalyn and Benjamin; sisters, Karen (Dick) Wiseman and Diane (John) Spurgeon.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
