Richard Gay, age 56, passed away at Riverview Health and Rehab in Savannah, Georgia on February 19, 2021. Richard was born on May 17, 1964 in Savannah, Georgia to Willie and Georgia Gay.
He was a man that did not mind working, having constructed houses in the Chatham and Effingham County area and in South Carolina for more than 30 years. When he was not working, he was just as dedicated to his favorite past-times—hunting, fishing and NASCAR racing on Sunday afternoons.
Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Brigdon Gay and his sister, Donna Gay.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his father, Willie Gay; his sister, Susan Rentz (Mark); his brother Daniel Gay (Stacie); a niece, Lillian Gay; nephews, Jacob Gay, Joey and William Rentz and great-nephews, Marcus and Willie Rentz.
