Richard left his earthly home on Friday October 18, 2019 to be united with his heavenly father. His family gathered around his bed saying their good by’s and playing music that he loved.
Mr. Butler was born on October 3, 1958 in Sidney, Nebraska and as a young child he was adopted by L.C. and Faye (Wooley) Butler. He grew up in Belton attending Belton schools and later attending TSTC in Waco. He worked along side his father in the family fencing business. He loved his children, grandchildren, hunting, fishing and the Texas Longhorns, he wore his Longhorn cap and shirt everywhere.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his father L.C. Butler in 2010 and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his mother Faye Butler; a son, Jeremy Butler and wife Mandy; two daughters, Shannon Smalley and husband Lee and April Butler and significant other Micah Gunning; four grandchildren, Kenneth Walker, Jr., Daven Walker, Avva Butler and Gatlin Gunning as well as many other beloved relatives.
