It is with sadness, that the Beckler family announces the death of Richard Adam Beckler.  He passed on September 28, 2022.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol; his sons, Timothy of Hillsboro, Oregon; Thomas and daughter Peggy Riley of Thornton, Colorado.  He was preceded in death by daughter, Janet, who passed in 2018.  Richard is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Knight, Eric Quinn, Daniel Riley and Halley Riley; his great grandchildren, Shaelynn Knight, Damiyen Knight, Harley Quinn and Connor Quinn.  A future great granddaughter, Emma Jane, is due in January.  He has two sisters, Mary Small and Nadine Sitter.  His other sister, Alice, passed in 2017.

Richard was born in Mandan, North Dakota on May 13, 1937, to Nick and Ann Beckler.  In January, 1955, he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Lockbourne Air Base in Columbus, Ohio.  He was a photographer and was discharged in December, 1958.  He and Carol then settled in Denver, Colorado.  Richard worked a year at C.A. Norgren Company and then started at Denver-Chicago Truck line where he worked on the dock.  After two years, he started driving truck in the city and the truck line changed to Time-DC.  He drove for them for several years and then drove for Roadway, where after driving for 37 years, he retired.  He and Carol have lived in Thornton for 53 years.
