Richard Thomas, 52, of Salado went to be home with his Lord and Savior Monday, August 30, 2021.

Richard was born August 14, 1969 in Montclair, New Jersey, the son of Kenneth P. Thomas Sr. and Linda (Carnes) Thomas. He moved to Texas from New Jersey in 1974.  He graduated from Holland High School.  He married Tami Clark, September 25, 2010.  He worked as an executive assistant for the last 14 years for the International Evangelism Association.  He was a member of Freedom Road Biker Church in Belton.

Richard loved life. His saying was, “I’m livin it, lovin it, and love livin it!” He enjoyed the outdoors: Camping, fishing, hiking, canoeing. He enjoyed exploring the backroads on his Harley. He loved any adventure he could share with his wife. What he loved most, though, was sharing with others the love of Jesus. He’d get so excited you would often hear him say, “I need to shout Hallelujah, someone hold my mule!!”

Richard had the biggest heart. Anyone who needed help with anything, he would make himself available, especially if it included the use of a chain saw. His family was a big priority in his life. If he wasn’t talking about Jesus or his wife, he’d be sharing about his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Thomas and one brother Kenneth Thomas, Jr.

Survivors include wife Tami Thomas of Salado; father Kenneth Thomas of Holland; two brothers Edward Thomas of Florida and James Masters of Tennessee; and one sister Paula King and her husband, Roger, of Holland, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
