Poestenkill -Richard A. Myott 72, of Poestenkill died September 13, 2008 St. Mary’s Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Fort Edward, he was son of the late John and Jenny (Hammond) Myott and husband of Evelyn Edith(Teal) Myott.
He resided in Poestenkill for most of his life. He graduated from Averill Park schools and worked as a machine operator at Bendix Friction Mater for 30 years retiring in 1986.
Survivors in addition to his wife of 52 years include his daughter, Linda (Timothy) Brod of Poestenkill; his two sons Richard (Teresa) Myott of Williamsburg, VA and James (Jackie) Myott of Poestenkill; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a sister Esther Martone of Mechanicville. He was predeceased by a sister Shirley Gibbs and three brothers Leroy Limburg, John and Frederick Myott.
Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most of all he loved spending time with family.
