Richard A. “Doc” Bailo, 64, of 26 Green Garden Court, East Haven died suddenly Nov. 30, 2009 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in New Haven Feb. 8, 1945, he was the son of Freda Derbabian Bailo of East Haven and the late Radio Bailo. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, Youngstown University and West Virginia University “Cum Laude”. He majored in chemistry and taught chemistry at the University of New Haven for two years. He drove part time for the former Yellow Cab Co. and has been a cab driver for more than 30 years, most recently for Metro Cab. He was an avid Mets and Jets fan.
