Richard leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters; Linda (Alvin) Baldwin, Carolyn Newkirk of Pittsboro; Shirley (Jimmy) Hart of Bear Creek; one son Richard Winfred (Phyllis) Alston of Moncure; two sisters Mable Horton of Pittsboro, who was by his side till death and Daisy Mitchell of Durham; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
