Richalene Marie “Ricki” Rogers Ray
At her home in Graham and with loved ones by her bedside, Richalene Marie Rogers “Ricki” Ray, 79 peacefully left this earth to be with the angels on Monday, December 30, 2019. Ricki was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was an avid gardener who loved life, birdwatching, a good joke, and playing cards. She always had a story to tell and coffee ready to serve.
Ricki grew up in Newark, Ohio, but was born in River Rouge, Michigan, on December 4, 1940, to Richard William Rogers and Agnes Nadolson Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Luther A. “Luke” Ray. She is survived by her sister, Martha Trumpore (Norman), her brother Robert Rogers (Joanne), sister-in-law Sadie Carter, her daughters Kim Teich (Henry), Debra Farmer (Robbie), Karen Harrison (Toby). Grandchildren Danielle, Joshua Luke, Baylei, Hailey, Grace, Alice, and Margaret, nieces, and nephew Cindy, Holly, Jodie, Jennifer, and Scott, and her dear friend Barbara Beaver. Ricki’s family is so grateful for the support and love of many people during her illness with cancer, including Claire “Twink” Brooks, Susie Proctor-Farmer, and the wonderful caregivers at Liberty Hospice, especially Veronica Clark, Rev. Greg Bouck, and Bramley Reynolds.
