He was raised surrounded by his brothers, William, Ed, Johnny and his sister, Andria. He received his formal education in Indianapolis where he graduated from the Crispus Attucks High School in 1958. Riccardo united in holy matrimony to the former Carolyn Stephens and to this union Terri, Vicky, Toni and Breck were born. He was later blessed with another daughter, Monica. In 1978, Riccardo wed Marzella Ann Gross and with this union, he became the stepfather of Debbie and Darrell. He welcomed them with open arms and raised them as his own. They all relocated to Denver, Colorado. The family shared many happy and precious moments together. Marzella preceded him in death. Riccardo was a hardworking man, who had many different jobs during his life. As a young man, he carried groceries for his neighbors and did odd jobs with his Uncle Harry. He worked for the Switzer Company and for the Indianapolis School Board. He worked for Country Buffet as a Waiter. He also worked for the Colorado Convention Center for 13 years until 2013. Wherever employed, he was dedicated, dependable and worked well with others. A man of faith and belief in the Lord, Riccardo has always believed in having the right relationship with the Lord. He traveled down what seemingly was a rocky road during his lifetime. In 1978, he accepted the Lord as his personal savior and freed himself from many of life’s adversities. He took the path of righteousness and became a faithful and dedicated member of Odom Memorial COGIC under the pastoral leadership of the late Bishop William Odom and continued under Superintendent Wayne McDonald its current pastor.
