Ricardo Allison, 87, of Hackensack, passed away on April 29, 2022.
Rick was born November 6, 1934, in Waubun to John and Esther (Kyle) Allison. Rick enlisted in the US Air Force on October 29, 1954 and was honorably discharged on August 30, 1958. On February 12, 1983 he married Diane (Trumbull) Buranen.
Rick worked for the power company and telephone company before they owned and operated the Green Roof Lodge on Woman Lake and later Natures Hideaway gift shop, which kept him busy with his woodworking. He also loved his volunteer work at the CO-OP in Hackensack (the grandkids esp. loved the double dipped Whoppers). Or he could be found walking the yard with his bucket picking up the never-ending pinecones.
He was the best at giving hugs and known to give a little teasing to everyone he knew or had just met, which is why he made friends wherever he went.
Ricardo is survived by his wife Diane; sister, Sandy (Emery) Johnson; brothers, Pat (Deborah) Allison, and Mike (Cheri) Allison. Children, James (Anita) Allison, Tamara Allison, Sherry (Pat) Wenner, Shelly (Greg) Carlson, and Mike Buranen. Grandchildren, Larissa (Matt), Adam (Kelsey) Cory (Jess), Dillion, Sydne (Luke), Zach (Alyssa), Lindsay, Travis, Tyler, Tracy, Toni and Tj and 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Darlene Walsh.
