Rhonda Lee Godbold Freeman went home to her Lord and Savior on November 27, 2021. She was born in Hendersonville, North Carolina on January 13, 1961, to Robert C. Godbold, Sr., and Shirley (Sargent) Godbold.
In November of 1968, the family moved to Okeechobee, Florida. She graduated with the Okeechobee High School Class of 1979. Rhonda married William H. Freeman on January 15, 1988, they were married for 33 years and together for 38 loving years.
Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her father, Robert C. Godbold, Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband, William H. Freeman, of Okeechobee; mother, Shirley Gorham, of Okeechobee; stepmother, Shirley Godbold, of Tennessee; brother, Robert C. Godbold, Jr. (Pam), of Ocala; sisters, Joy Marr (Keith), of Okeechobee, Penny Sneed (Mark), of Apollo Beach, and Erin Argiropoulos (Kirk), of Oakland Park; many nieces and nephews; and her cat, Allen.
Rhonda loved the beach and collecting sharks’ teeth and seashells at her favorite place, Don Pedro Island. She was an avid birdwatcher and adored her cats. She was the previous co-owner for 30 years of Central Gas Company and also co-owner of Central Storage Company. Rhonda loved the home that she and her beloved husband built. William “Bill” loved Rhonda more than anything; she was and will always be his partner in life.
