Rhonda Jayne Parish Black born in Huntsville, AL and resident of Union Grove, AL passed peacefully in Hospice care on November 2, 2022, at 71 years old. She was preceded in death by her father, Nelson M. “Corky” Parish, mother, Mary Francis Towery Parish, uncles, Robert K. Moore and Bobby B. Parish and husband, Joe “Kenny” Black.
She is survived by sisters, Lorraine S. Parish and Teresa Fowler Parish, daughter, Dawn McAdams Parish and husband Kurt Taylor, son, Dr. Wesley Parish Black and wife Rei. Four granddaughters, Emerald Brianna McAdams Parish, Samantha and Rachelle Taylor, and Tiana Leigh Solomon, two great granddaughters Brianna Marie and Taylor Elizabeth Straattman, “Aunt” Betty Moore, brother and sister-in-law John V. and Linda Sue Smith, brother-in-law Bruce Black, nephews, Larry and Brad Black, Robert Smith, nieces, Darlene Smith, Sharon Massengill, and many other extended family and close friends that she considered family. Close family friends she would have wanted to be recognized include lifelong friend and “sister” Sonja Maas, and long-time friends Wade Sanders and Larry Allen.
Rhonda grew up around the family business City Auto Parts of Huntsville, where she met her husband, Kenny.
Rhonda loved nature and wildlife.
