Mrs. Chapman was born August 5, 1915 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Fed and Flora West. She was raised in the Shoal Creek community of White County, and she retained a life-long love for the area even after moving to Lumpkin County with her husband.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jimmie Sue and John Gerrells, son-in-law and wife Roger and Judy Dunagan; grandchildren Troy and Sharon Dunagan,
Sandi and Eddie Lovell, Stephen and Kristi Gerrells and Nathan Gerrells; great grandchildren Craig and Kyle Lovell; Kalie, Zachary, and Hannah Gerrells;
Clarissa and Maggie Reece Dunagan; sister-in-law Myrtle West; her beloved caregiver Connie Couch as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
