Reynalda “Ronnie” Lara, 78 , passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Alamogordo. She was born on November 1, 1928 in Hondo, New Mexico to Elfido and Maximiana Salas.
Survivors include three sons, Teofilo “Toby” Chavez of Tularosa, Hilbert (Shorty) Chavez and wife Pam of Alabama, Ronnie Chavez of Pennsylvania, three daughters, Elisa Ringler and her husband Jim, and Della Jean Gomez and husband Dago all of Pennsylvania, and Becky Phillips of Alamogordo; four brothers, Pete Salas, Teofilo Salas, Ramon Salas, Juan and Mary Salas and one sister, Magdelina Salas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lara, daughter, Betsy Romero, and grandchildren, Selena and Armando Romero.
A Rosary will be recited by Juan Montoya at 9:30 AM on Monday, May 7, 2007 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
