Reymundo Carlos Reyna (Big Rey Rey) of Nampa, Idaho was born March 27, 1978, to Roman and Modesta Reyna. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack on October 23, 2022, at the age of 44 with his son by his side enjoying the Raiders Game.
He was raised in Nampa and attended Nampa High School. His most recent employment was as a forklift operator for Great American Snacks.
Rey Rey and Prodigios had 3 children together. Lil Rey Rey, Katrina and Monique and stepdaughter, Idaliys.
He married his partner in crime Olivia Estrada on Valentine’s Day February 14, 2014, they share a daughter Livy and he was stepfather to Monica, Laila and Angel.
Rey Rey was a stranger to no one and found great purpose in sharing in the successes, joys and challenges of those around him. He was the life of every party and always had everyone laughing. He was quick with his comebacks and said he was the “Meme King”. Rey Rey was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in his life. Rey Rey was known for not holding back his opinion and telling you like it is.
His children were his life and he loved to jump on their beds to yell “steam roller” roll over them and laugh. He had an amazing relationship with all his children.
He enjoyed flying his drone and racing his remote-control cars. He loved riding in his car and bumping music.
He loved BBQing to bring the family together and he was the best cook! He played the best music and kept us laughing.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia Estrada; his children, Lil Rey Rey (Alexia), Katrina, Monique and Livy; his mother, Modesta Reyna; sisters, Soyla Reyna and Rebecca Reyna Cannon; his brother, Raul (Janine) Reyna; stepdaughters Monica, Laila and Idaliys; stepson, Angel; and a number of nieces and nephews. He had a very special bond with his great nephew, Romeo Reyna and his great niece, Yavoni Reyna.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roman Reyna; grandparents, Rosendo and Nasaria Reyna and Ramon and Amada Amparan; his uncles, Romel Reyna, Rolando Reyna and Elias Alvarez.
The family is holding a Candlelight Vigil for Big Rey Rey Friday October 28, 2022, at Lakeview Park at 5 p.m.
