Rex Leland Earles 87, passed away Saturday, April 23,
2011 at The Waters of Clinton. He was born April 27,
1923  in rural Hillsdale to Emma Lucile and Homer
Leland Earles. He Married Betty Mardell Blake on Febuary
14, 1947 she survives. He served in the Navy,
European Theater of Operation during WWII. A charter
member of the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Department
until he moved. An active member of Wayside United

offices and was a sunday school teacher until his health
started to fail. He retired from White Construction in
May, 1988 as an Operating Engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son
Jerry Earles, a son in-law Terry Simpson, a sister
Frieda Ginoplos, brother in-laws; George Wise,
Robert Bever, and a niece Betty Lou Wise.
He is survived by his wife Betty Mardell Earles, a daughter
Gloria Franklin & Stanley of Portage, MI. A
daughter; Christie Simpson of Clinton. Three sisters;
Ruth Bever of Kansas City, MO., Annabelle Earles, and
Emma Lou Earles of St. Louis, MO. A daughter

in-law Pamela Earles of Hillsdale. Six grandchildren;
Erica Hendricks, Douglas Franklin, Jeremy
Earles, Ernie Simpson, Timothy Franklin, and
Jennifer Gibbs. Eight great-gandchildren; Marvin

Emma Franklin, Lindsey Franklin, Rylan Hendricks,
Region Hendricks, and Lucas Gibbs. One niece and
six nephews.
