Rex Allen Faught, 45, of Baldwin Street, died at 8 a.m. Saturday (May 24, 2008) at his sisters’ home after an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 11, 1962, in Elkhart to William E. Faught and Arlene Cart. He married Barbara E. Newcomer on May 26, 1990, in Osceola.
She survives along with three daughters, Paige M. Faught (fiance, Anthony Knight), at home, and Faith (Jack) Gilbert and Dorian Lester, both of Harriman, Tenn.; two grandchildren; three brothers, Randy (Dawn) Faught, William “Bill” Faught and Mark Faught, all of Elkhart; and two sisters, Kenda McCarrol and Barbara (Carl) Cassidy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Faught was a carpenter who worked in the construction business his entire life. He worked at various sites throughout Harriman. In 2007 he returned to Indiana and his family for health reasons.
He was an avid outdoorsman and when he wasn’t fishing he could be found gardening and landscaping around the house. He also liked collecting lighthouses and ships, and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
