Rev. William C. Parson, 77, Anderson, went home to be with The Lord on February 7, 2011 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness. He was born May 6, 1933 in Morehead, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. Rev. Parson was an ordained Free Will Baptist minister for over 40 years.

He pastored several churches, retiring in 2007 from East 16th St. Separate Baptist Church in Muncie. His secular occupation was as a machinist and grinder retiring from Delaware Tool and Machinery after 19 years of service. Prior to that, he had worked at Nicholson File. He was a member of the 38th Street Free Will Baptist Church in Anderson.

He is survived by his children, Joyce Parson Steve Munz of Columbus, Ohio, Billy Parson Sue of Wabash and Jeniffer Hoover Rev. Jimmy of Anderson; sister, Amelia Thomas John of Florence Mississippi; brother, Carl Parson of Bellefontaine, Ohio; grandchildren, Rev. Russell Houser Tammy of Clinton, Jason Houser Edna of San Jose, California, David Houser Becky of Jacksonville, Florida, April King Doug of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Aspen King Mark of DeGraff, Ohio, Kristopher Parson of Wabash and Charity Hoover of Anderson and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alferd & Mary Jane Richmond Parson; wife of 59 years, Melba E. Logan Parson who passed away on January 12, 2011; daughter, April Parson; several brothers and sisters.
