He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife of 61 years, Lula M. Tyson; his three children – Theodore Tyson, III (Omega) of Huntsville, Alabama, Carl Joel Tyson of Indianapolis, Indiana and TeJuana’ Dee Winchester of Charlotte, NC. Eight grandchildren – Tomika D. Baldwin of Durham, NC, Tomocina D. Tyson of Durham, NC, Keshya L. Becker (David) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tonya D. Dowdy of Sanford, NC, NaTashia W. Edwards (Timothy) of Bear Creek, NC, Theodorea O. (Tracii) Tyson, of Atlanta, Georgia, Quianna D. Winchester and Kenneth Tyson Winchester of Charlotte, NC. Eight Great-Grandchildren – Brittany D. Atwater, Dominique Tyson, Joshua T. Edwards, M. Tyshae Harris, Alexus Baldwin, Tyler T. Wade, Ja’la Baldwin, and Tai’Liyah Edwards. Two very special friends of the family, Anthony Boyd of Indianaplolis and Harold Simpson of Charlotte. One sister, Ella Mae Tyson Wright (Ander Lee) of Hope Mills, NC, and one brother William T. Tyson (Mildred) of Tarboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces great-great nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Rev. Tyson never met a stranger. He would usually make sure all was right with you before you left by asking – “Do you need anything?”
