Rev. Steven R. Fletcher, 67, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born on March 21, 1951, in Alliance, Nebraska, to Rev. Albert and Lucille (Leisy) Fletcher. He graduated from Dunedin High School in Florida, Class of 1969 and Clearwater Christian college in 1984. Steve married his beautiful wife Patsy (Titus) Fletcher on September 16, 1977, in Marion, IN.
Steve was an ordained minister through the Wesleyan Church and served at Shady Hills Wesleyan, in Shady Hills, FL, Fairmount Wesleyan Church in Fairmount, IN and most recently at Nelson Street Wesleyan Church in Marion, IN.He loved music, playing the piano and singing was his passion. He was a proud member of the Back Creek Boys Quartet, a group of four gentlemen from the Fairmount, IN area, who traveled around playing and singing gospel music. He was a huge fan of IU basketball and Florida State Football. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and loved them with all he had.
Steve is survived by his parents, Rev. Albert (Lucille) Fletcher,Brooksville, FL; his wife, Patsy Fletcher, Marion; two sons, Dallas Fletcher (partner Harold Hardin), Pleasant Hills, CA and Martin (Marty) (Amanda) Fletcher, Salisbury, NC; two grandchildren,Mylaand Bohde Fletcher; sister, Linda Halt, St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers, Rev. Rick (Debbie) Fletcher, New Haven, IN and Philip (Cindy) Fletcher, St. Petersburg, FL; several beloved nieces and nephews.
