Reverend Joseph Patterson was born on June 2, 1943, to the late John and Rosa Patterson in Eastover, South Carolina. He was the twin to the late Pastor Mary L. Jacobs. He departed this earthy life on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.
Reverend Patterson leaves to cherish his precious memories and legacy is his son, Eulese Patterson; daughter, Josetta Patterson Newell; children he considered his own, Lamar Patterson and Angela Curenton; three brothers, Roosevelt (Mildred) Patterson, Heyward (Sylvia) Patterson, and Pastor Jimmie (Barbara) Patterson; four foster brothers, Edward Howard, Daniel (Judy) Howard, Joseph Howard and Willie(Debra) Howard; three sisters; Carrie Boldwin, Selena (Carl)Horton, and Carrie (Cleveland) Sims; four grandsons, Kanon Martin, Tyrell Patterson, Desmond Patterson and Branden Givens Jr.;and host of other loving relatives and friends all whom will miss him dearly.
