Rev. Gary Lamar Waisner, 86, of Ramseur, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at his residence.

Rev. Waisner was a native of Stanly County, a longtime resident of Ramseur, and a member of Ramseur Wesleyan Church. He was an ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church and formerly served in the following churches as pastor, Summerfield Wesleyan Church, Kildee Wesleyan Church, Hillbrook Wesleyan Church, Bethlehem Wesleyan Church, Rose Hill Wesleyan Church, Browns Chapel Christian Church, Graham Wesleyan Church and as assistant pastor at Ramseur Wesleyan Church. Pastor Gary enjoyed gardening and serving all the churches that he pastored in which he was very dedicated to each one of them. His favorite teachings of the Bible were from the book of Revelation. He was a humble man with a gentle spirit and was a friend and mentor to all.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Tina Bunting Waisner, sister, Delores Thompson.

Survivors: devoted wife of 65 years, Shirley Ritchie Waisner, of the home, daughter, Cynthia Waisner Moffitt and husband Steve, of Siler City, son, Terry Lynn Waisner and wife, Lisa, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Matthew Lynn Waisner and wife, Kim, Mark Leonard Waisner and wife, Amie, Ethaniel Lamar Moffitt and wife, Madalyn, great-grandchildren, Selah, Graham, Emmalie Waisner.
