Rev. Connell Tennial 91, departed this world for his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at his home.
Rev. Tennial was born on May 19, 1931, in Byhalia, Mississippi. He was a former resident of Syracuse, New York for over 50 years where he owned Tennial Home Improvement. He pastored at St. Matthews Pentacostal Church. He loved the word and had a passion for teaching others the word of God. He also enjoyed playing his guitar.
Rev. Tennial is preceded in death by his wife Lucille Tennial, his parents, Bruce and Augusta Tennial as well as his sisters, Laura Rayford, Lizzie Standefer, Reaola Summers, Annie Laura Smith, Lucille Tennial; and brothers Richmond, Louis (L.V.), Liddell, Louis (L.D.) and Melvin.
Rev. Tennial is survived by his four daughters, Lillie (George) of Clinton, NC, Maria of Atlanta, GA, Lisa of Syracuse, NY, and Schikeena of Syracuse, NY; two step-daughters, Fannie Sullivan and Willa Mae both of Charlotte, NC; one son, Sam of Charlotte, NC; one step-son, Mickey of Syracuse, NY; two brothers, Oscar Tennial and Emanulle Stevens; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
