Rev. Calvron Deontrae Marshall was born July 2nd, 1987 to the parents of David and Juakia Elston Marshall in Talladega, Alabama.  Calvron accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He received his education and graduated with the class of 2005 at ASB.  He furthered his education and attended Jacksonville State University.

In Calvron’s early years, music became his passion, and he was gifted at the age of 3, playing the drums and later learned and accomplished playing the keyboard.  After skillfully perfecting his gifts, he became a musician.  He accepted a musician position at Lilly Hill Baptist Church, Talladega, Alabama, and later Rocky Zion Baptist Church, Pell City, Alabama.  During his tenure at Rocky Zion, he accepted his calling into the ministry, under the leadership of Rev. Woodrow Johnson on the 4th of September 2011.  He later united with Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rodney Looney, where he became the Minister of Music.  Calvron was also a part of the music ministry at New Life Outreach Ministries since 2012.

Along Calvron’s life’s journey, he met and united in holy matrimony to Ms. Carla Hale on the 4th of May 2013.  To this union three children were born. 

Calvron’s love of music was evident as he enjoyed various genres.  His favorite was quartet gospel music. Calvron’s musicianship and skills allowed him to travel and play for multiple quartet groups, The Voices of Faith of Pell City, Alabama, The Gospel Voices of Hollins, Alabama, Pastor Skylar Patterson & Predestined of Sylacauga, Alabama, Uriah Gaskins & the Sanctified Believers of Douglasville, Georgia and many more.  He was a part of the OMG Music Group.

Calvron was full of energy and enthusiasm; he always kept you laughing. And loved entertaining family and friends. He loved his wife and children. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He loved chicken and often played video games.

He was an active member of the Nu Phi Upsilon Christian Fraternity, Inc. under the leadership of Nathaniel Cole.  He was affectionately known as the Tre of the “Sons of Thunder ” and his line name was “Abundant Minstrel ”.

Calvron departed this walk of life on the 3rd of November 2022 under the care of Coosa Valley Medical Center, Sylacauga, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents and other relatives.

His love will forever be cherished by his loving wife of nine years, Carla H. Marshall; two daughters, Adrienne Marshall and Kennadi Marshall; one son, Calvin Marshall; loving mother, Juakia Marshall; father, Rev. David Marshall; brother, Jerion (Chantelle) Marshall; God sister, Marilyn Wilson; special aunt and uncle, Victor & Debbie Wilson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
