Pastor Billy G. Pedigo, 81, of Belton .
As a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and minister of the Gospel, his reach and impact will carry on for generations. He deeply loved his wife and always enjoyed being around his growing family. He lived life with the joy of the Lord and was a shining example of trusting in God even through the toughest of times. He is finally seeing Jesus face to face and is no doubt running around heaven to see his family, friends and taking in the glorious view.
Billy was born on June 23, 1936 in Temple, the son of Willie James (Bill) Pedigo and Euna Mae Richard Pedigo. He was happily married for 62 years to the love of his life, Dorothy “Jean” Herring on May 5, 1955 in Belton. He was a mighty man of God with a true love for people and an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God Church.
He was the Pastor at Trinity Full Gospel Church for 22 years and Temple Full Gospel for a short time before going to First Assembly of God in Moody for 14 years and retiring July 24, 2017. He also started Go Tell to help other pastors and churches in need and shared from behind many pulpits around the State. Prior to the ministry he worked for Dickies Work Clothes Rental and Texas Industrial in sales and management. He could often be found on the sales floor at Cochran, Blair and Potts making friends with everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his loyal dog Shamrock.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy “Jean” Pedigo of Belton; three sons Darrell Gene Pedigo and wife Arlene of Indiana, Danny Wayne Pedigo and wife Trisha of Arlington, David Lee Pedigo and wife Carla of Salado, one daughter Debbie Renee Pedigo of Belton; nine grandchildren Jeff Pedigo and wife Adrienne, Christi Geick, Heidi Holmes and husband Randall, Jennifer Lovan and husband Phaysone, Bryan Pedigo and wife Paloma, Rick Geick and wife Danielle, Jason Pedigo and wife Danielle, Sierra Pedigo, Dillon Pedigo; 10 great grandchildren, Christian, Jimmy, Cameron, Nevaeh, Austin, Chandler, Jayden, Zoey, Brayden and Jacob.
