The Reverend Bernard Daniel Killeen, formerly of Orange, entered into eternal rest at St. Mary Home in West Hartford on Friday, October 8, 2010, at the age of 85. Son of the late John and Katharine Glennon Killeen, he was born on December 22, 1924, in New Haven, Connecticut. He attended Saint Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield and Saint Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland. Father Killeen was ordained a priest on May 26, 1949, by the Most Reverend Henry J. O’Brien at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, Hartford.
Survivors include Dr. and Mrs. Charles (Peg) Schlegel, a sister Elizabeth Lederer all of East Haven, twelve nieces and nephews and nineteen grand nieces and nephews. Father Killeen predeceased by a brother, Reverend John Killeen and brother-in-law Dick Lederer.
